Meet the Committee
President: Ravi Visagan
Currently a final year medical student at King’s College London, I help to co-ordinate the society with a fantastic team this year. Our aim is to continue the good work of previous years by running surgical workshops and promoting student interest in surgery.
Vice President: Sunitha Vimalesvaran
As Vice President I organise the annual National Undergraduate Trauma Conference and to work with the rest of the committee to ensure the success of all our other exciting events!
Treasurer: Saskia Burchett
My role as treasurer is to manage the society’s finances and as a senior member, to oversee the events the society holds.
Clinical Director: Imran Siddiqui
As the Clinical Director, I oversee all the clinical events that the society hosts throughout the year. The most popular of which is our ‘Introduction to Suturing Skills’ and ‘Basic Suturing Skills’ course. As the sponsorship director I liase with sponsors, raise funds and enhance the society’s profile in the professional world of surgery.
IT Director: Rishma Gohil
As the IT Director I update this website and send out regular emails about the society’s events. Also coming soon is a brand new website for the Trauma Conference which I am currently creating.
Marketing Director: Natasha Liow
I’m responsible for getting info about the society and about the incredible events that the society runs out to the masses of the medical school. I make posters, post incessantly on the Facebook pages, Tweet about surgery and the society, chase virtualcampus people around the actual campus, dart in and out of toilet cubicles with Blu-tac.

My main role is publicising events that we, here in surgical doc have planned for you guys, so that you have a great time with us and learn some valuable clinical skills along the way.
King’s College London Surgical Society
The KCL Surgical Society promote the art and science of surgery to all students at King's College London. This is achieved through various events including lectures, suturing workshops, discussions, tours of surgical establishments and conferences along with social events throughout the year! We also offer career advice to students at GKT School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences.
