There are a total of six workshop stations that cover various aspects of trauma management. They aim to build on the morning’s talks and give you the opportunity to put your learning in to action.
Station 1: Orthopaedic Reconstruction & Trauma
This workshop will take place in Bill Whimster Lecture Theatre 1. Mr Carlon Fitzpatrick & Dr Kartik Logishetty will be supervising this workshop. Synthes will be providing the equipment for this workshop
Station 2: Laproscopy
This workshop will take place in Bill Whimster Lecture Theatre 2. Mr. Ric Toole, Mr Ashish Desai & Ms Anu Paul will be supervising this workshop. Ethicon are providing the equipment for this workshop.
Station 3: Vascular Anastomosis
This workshop will be taking place in Clare Vaughan Seminar Room 1. Mr Pankaj Chandak & Dr Kavitha Vimalesvaran will be supervising this station.
Station 4: C-spine immobilisation & log-rolling
This workshop will be taking place in Classroom 1, WEC. Kings College Hospital will be sponsoring this workshop. The following Emergency Department nurses will be supervising this station Moya Levy, Gill Prifti, Laura Burnett & Katie Gladman.
Station 5: Advanced Trauma Life Support / Paediatric Advanced Life Support
This workshop will be taking place in the Clinical Skills Room, 2nd floor of the WEC. Dr Simon Broughton, Dr Simon Calvert, Dr Sofia Rahman, Mr Tom Konig & Dr Kate Prior will be supervising this workshop. Kings College Hospital will be sponsoring this workshop
Station 6: Intubation
This workshop will be taking place in Clare Vaughan Seminar Room 2. Dr Shahana Uddin, Dr Jay Dasan & Dr Saju Sharafudeen will be supervising this station. Kings College Hospital will be sponsoring this workshop.
