The KCL Surgical Society would like to welcome you to the new academic year! We hope everyone is beginning to settle in and enjoying their time at King's. Those of you that visited us at the 2009 Fresher's Fair will be aware that this year we are running a series of careers based lectures. Each month we will cover a different surgical speciality and you will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished surgeons and trainee surgeons how and why they entered their respective fields. Our aim is to help you develop your interest in surgery and explore the numerous career options that are available to you.
First event of the year: The Surgical Society calendar will be kicking off with an evening dedicated to understanding the intricacies of the surgical training process - everything from being a Medical Student, through to the ST phases and beyond! We'll conclude the evening with complimentary drinks at Guy's Bar with a chance to compete against your colleagues in a classic game of Operation to win an iPod nano!
